NORMIKBACKYARDS

Fire pits · North Texas

Leave room for one more chair.

A fire pit creates a gathering point with a different rhythm from a fireplace. Plan the seating, usable patio space and connection to the rest of the backyard before settling on its shape.

A thoughtful starting point

Plan the details.
Enjoy the difference.

01

Find the right gathering space

Think about daily use as well as entertaining. Position the feature so people can move between the house, seating and other backyard activities comfortably.

02

Match the form to the patio

A round feature encourages a circle of seating. A linear feature can define an edge. The available space and furniture plan should lead the choice, rather than a photo alone.

03

Account for the installation

Fuel supply, equipment selection, surrounding materials, drainage and site access all influence the proposal. Review applicable requirements and manufacturer instructions before construction.

A few things to know

Good questions.
Clearer plans.

Built-in or movable?

A built-in feature becomes part of the permanent layout and utility plan. A movable product has its own placement and operating requirements. A project consultation can help establish which direction fits the intended space.

Can a fire pit be near a pool or patio cover?

Its location needs to account for circulation, nearby materials, structures, product clearances and local requirements. There is no single placement rule that suits every backyard.
