Patio covers · North Texas

A little shade changes the whole day.

Make the patio a place you use more often. A roofed cover, cabana or open pergola should fit the house, the sun, the views and the way people move through the yard.

A thoughtful starting point

Plan the details.
Enjoy the difference.

01

Decide what shelter means to you

A roofed cover creates a different experience from an open pergola. Start with the afternoon sun, desired weather protection and the activities you want underneath.

02

Connect the structure to the property

Attachment details, foundations, elevations and drainage need to be resolved before finishes. Existing paving alone does not establish that a new structure has the support it needs.

03

Think beyond the roof

Fans, lighting, cooking equipment and furniture affect the layout. Plan electrical work and circulation alongside the structure, rather than after construction starts.

A few things to know

Good questions.
Clearer plans.

Attached or freestanding?

An attached cover can make the transition from the house feel direct. A freestanding structure can define a destination elsewhere in the yard. The house, setbacks and site conditions help determine which approach fits.

Can an existing patio be used?

Possibly. Its condition, dimensions, elevation, drainage and suitability for new loads need to be reviewed. New foundations or paving changes may still be required.
