Outdoor fireplaces · North Texas

Give the evening a place to gather.

An outdoor fireplace can anchor a seating area and create a focal point from inside the house. Its best location comes from the whole layout: seating, views, the structure and the route through the yard.

A thoughtful starting point

Plan the details.
Enjoy the difference.

01

Build the seating plan first

Consider how many people will gather, which direction they will face and how they will walk around the furniture. Keep the fireplace from becoming an obstacle between outdoor spaces.

02

Coordinate the architecture

The height, masonry and surrounding surfaces should relate to the house and any nearby cover. A site-specific design can resolve the focal point without overwhelming a smaller yard.

03

Resolve the fuel and clearance details

Fuel type, approved equipment, clearances, venting and local requirements belong in the design review. A concept sketch is not a substitute for those checks.

A few things to know

Good questions.
Clearer plans.

Gas or wood burning?

The choice affects operation, maintenance, installation and the details that must be reviewed. Local requirements, the proposed location and product specifications need to be confirmed before selecting the system.

Can a fireplace be added to a covered patio?

That requires a coordinated review of the fireplace, venting, overhead structure, materials and clearances. It should not be treated as a simple placement decision.
